Obituary of Harold Clayton Haynes

Graveside services for Mr. Harold Clayton Haynes, age 80, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, June 02, 2013 at the Oak Ridge Baptist Cemetery, Oak Ridge, LA, with the Rev. James Thompson officiating. Visitation will be held from 6 PM until 8 PM Saturday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr Haynes was a retired farmer in this area for 40 years and enjoyed showing cutting horses in the Jones, LA/Wilmot, AR areas. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and he loved his family. He was a member of Gaines Baptist Church of Wilmot, AR. Mr. Haynes was in the United States Air Force and served his country during the Korean Conflict. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Gail Winnon Haynes, children, Mary Lynne Hearne of West Monroe, LA, Kathryn "Tuffy" Higginbotham and husband Frank of Crossett, AR, Clayton Mark Haynes and wife Becky of Hamburg, AR, Emily Belle Johnson of West Monroe, LA; sister, Ruth Ward of Jackson, MS; brother, DeWayne Haynes of Wilmot, AR; grandchildren, Jimmy Don Gilliam, JR. and wife Shelley of Crossett, AR, Matthew Scott Gilliam and wife Julie of Bossier City, LA, Whitney Danielle Haynes of Hamburg, AR, Emily Alisha Price and husband Jesse of West Monroe, LA, and three great grandsons. Mr. Haynes is preceded in death by his parents, Leroy and Emily Belle Haynes; brother, James Haynes; older sister, Mary Francis Haynes; special friend, Margie Jones Haynes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be, Frank Higginbotham, Jimmy Don Gilliam, Jr., Matthew Gilliam, Lynn Winnon, Keith Winnon, Fred Montgomery, and Skip Carr.
