Graveside funeral services for Mr. Benjamin H. Byrd, Jr., age 81, of Mer Rouge, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday July 7, 2004, at Carter Cemetery with Rev. Jimmy Yocum and Rev. Mike Loveday officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 5-9 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Byrd, a retired salesman and member of Twin Oaks Baptist Church, died Sunday July 4, 2004, at North Monroe Hospital.
Mr. Byrd is survived by his wife, Barbara Byrd; two sons, Richard H. Byrd & wife Janice of Lafayette, LA, Wayne Byrd of Dallas, TX; and Granddaughter, Malinda Byrd of Monroe.
Mr. Byrd is preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin Byrd, Sr. & Richard Arlena Byrd.
