Funeral services for Mrs. Ruby P. McLarrin Reid, age 94, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, June 21, 2013 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday, June 20, 2013 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Reid, a resident of Cherry Ridge Guest Care in Bastrop, passed away Tuesday, June 18, 2013. She was a member of Bonita Road Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her father, John Lackey; mother, Lizzie James Lackey; brother, Buddy Lackey; sister, Rachel Ashcraft; first husband and father of her children, Tom McLarrin; second husband, Everett Reid; son-in-laws, Ralph Price, Harry Ball; daughter-in-laws, Carolyn McLarrin, Charlotte McLarrin; four grandchildren, David McLarrin, Scottie McLarrin, Ricky Price, and Glynis Dean McLarrin, Jr.
Mrs. Reid is survived by her daughter, Wilma Ball of Bastrop, LA; five sons, Edgar McLarrin of Bastrop, LA, Glynis McLarrin and wife Barbara of Magnolia, TX, Randle McLarrin and wife Linda of Oak Grove, LA, Kenneth McLarrin and wife Mary of Bastrop, LA, Rayburn McLarrin and wife Anita of Oak Grove, LA; 34 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; and numerous great great grandchildren.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
