Obituary of Vivian Sears

Funeral services for Mrs. Vivian Turner Sears, 76, of Bastrop are scheduled for 10 AM Friday, April 11, 2008 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Marty Black officiating. Interment will follow in Bonita Road Baptist Church Cemetery. Mrs. Sears, a retired sales clerk, homemaker and member of Bonita Road Baptist Church, passed away Tuesday April 8, 2008 at Morehouse General Hospital. She is survived by two sons, David Sears of Bastrop, LA, Mark Sears of Longview, TX; two daughters, Margie Sears of Bastrop, LA, Kathy Bankhead and husband Steve of Indianola, MS; three sisters, Lillian Collier of Santa Clara, CA, Lana Smith and husband Claude of Bastrop, LA, Sue Riles and husband Gayle of Oak Grove, LA; two brothers, Bernie Turner and wife Mary and Kirby Turner, both of Bastrop, LA; eight grandchildren, Morgan, Mary, Scott, Britt, Brad, Melanie, Beth, Eric; seven great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Mrs. Turner is preceded in death by her husband, Huey Sears; parents; grandson, Terry Sears; two sisters, Pearl Cox and Joyce Williams. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 10, 2008 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
