Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Ray, 86, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27, 2005 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Revs. Britt Dupree and Phillip McCready officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Ray, a homemaker and member of Cherry Ridge Baptist Church, passed away Monday, October 24, 2005 at Hickory Manor Nursing Home.
She is survived by her son, Charles Ray and wife Marie Ray of Bastrop, LA; two grandchildren, Christine Simmons Barnhill and husband Mike of Farmerville, LA, Heath Ray and daughter Chelsea Ray of Monroe, LA; three step grandchildren, Tina Jones, Carlus Bagby, Dewayne Bagby all of Bastrop, LA and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Ray is preceded in death by her husband, R.L. Ray; daughter, Gloria Simmons and son in-law, Elmo Simmons.
Visitation will be held from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, October 26, 2005 at Golden Funeral Home.
