Obituary of Robert F. "Bobby" Pirtle

Funeral services for Mr. Robert F. "Bobby" Pirtle, age 59, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, July 8, 2013 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Campanale and Rev. Ray Owens officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Pirtle, a retired employee at International Paper Company and member of Green Acres Baptist Church, passed away Friday, July 5, 2013 in Monroe, LA. He was an avid golfer, loved gardening and making others laugh. He also served his country in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Benni Kay Pirtle; daughters, Ashley H. Pirtle of West Monroe, LA, Brycelyn M. Pirtle of Bastrop, LA; son, James A. Pirtle III and wife Kristian of Bastrop, LA; granddaughter, Kameron Pirtle of Bastrop, LA; brother, Billy Bryce Pirtle of North Fork, VA; mother-in-law, Dorothy Olds of Bastrop, LA; aunt, Barbara Malmay and husband Tommy of West Monroe, LA and numerous nieces and nephews. Mr. Pirtle is preceded in death by his parents, Bryce and Helen Pirtle; brothers, James "Jimmy" Pirtle and Johnny Pirtle. Pallbearers will be James Pirtle, Griffin Pirtle, Mike Malmay, Daniel Fuller III, Thomas Dean and Alex Lord. Visitation will be held Sunday, July 7, 2013 from 5 PM - 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
