Dad loved his God, his family, his friends and his customers from the Baton Rouge area. In short, he learned over the 90 years that he lived to love people, not things. We will miss him dearly and yet, it will not be forever. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith; in the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day; and not only to me, but also to all who have loved His appearing. 2 Timothy 4:7-8

I remember Foye with great fondness. He attended Jefferson during the time we were just a mission. I also remember that he would run his tractor at night to cut all that grass on his place in Baton Rouge. He was well ahead of his time. May the Lord comfort your hearts during this time of grief. Romans 8:18 Till Jesus comes. Pastor Tommy French Jefferson Baptist Church Baton Rouge, LA 70809

As one of Papaws grandsons, I have had alot of fond memories of him. He was always so kind and such a hard worker! (Always getting the ox out of the ditch) He would never let me forget all of the work we did to his home on Snyder, especially all of the Caulking that I did. With me being a US Marine, he and I had many conversations about his interesting times back during WWII. I had complete respect for him and his duties as a Navy SeaB. He was on the front lines with the Marines as they attacked the island of Okinawa. He will be missed, although he lived a VERY full life! Semper Fi Papaw!!
