Obituary of Sr. Lowe

Funeral services for Mr. Foye Lavell Lowe, Sr., 90, of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, 2008 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Willis Wilkerson officiating. Interment will follow in Christ Church Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 service time at the funeral home. Mr. Lowe, owner of Capital City Beauty Supply in Baton Rouge for 35 years, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2008 at Summerlin Lane Nursing Home. He was a Mason and El Karuba Shriner in Shreveport, LA and he served his country as a Navy Seabee during WWII in the Invasion of Okinawa. He is survived by five children, Foye Lowe, Jr. and wife Gloria Bockrath of Baton Rouge, LA, Charles Lowe and wife Linda of Bedford, TX, E'Dee Jenkins and husband Don of Orange, TX, Paul Lowe and wife Gerri of Prairieville, LA, Thomas Lowe and wife Mary of Oviedo, FL; ten grandchildren, Marilois Snowman, Ellen Womack, Jason Lowe, Amy Enea, Ben Lowe, Rachel Holland, Jessica Lowe, Laura Lowe, Katelynn Lowe, Kristen Lowe and thirteen great grandchildren. Mr. Lowe is preceded in death by his sisters, Audrey Estrada, Geneva Easterling and brother, Doug Vines. Serving as pallbearers will be his grandsons and nephews.
