Joyce Lane Talley Hatch, 84, of The Woodlands TX, was called Home Sunday, April 13th, following a lengthy battle with cancer.
She was born to the late J.B. & Era Talley Sr., April 5, 1930, in Monroe, LA. She attended Louisiana Tech University, and graduated with a BS in Business Education from Northeast LA State University, and received her MS in Education from USL in Lafayette LA. She was married to the late Alfred Parker Hatch, and they lived together in Lafayette LA where she taught Business Education at Lafayette High School for 25 years.
She is survived by her brother, John Berton Talley Jr. and wife Sharon of Bastrop, two children, Jan Hatch Cribb and husband John of The Woodlands, TX, and Alfred Ray Hatch of Lafayette, LA. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the Golden Funeral Home Chapel, Bastrop LA, at 2:00 PM on Thursday, April 17 with Rev. Joe Don Hawthorn officiating, and music provided by Mr. Tim Post. Visitation will be prior to the funeral from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM, and there will also be a graveside service at Stevenson Cemetery following the chapel service. Pallbearers will be Alfred Ray Hatch Jr., M. Alan Alleman Jr., Embry Arnold McKee Jr., John B. Talley III, Stephen Wayne Talley, and Kadin Francis Alleman
The family requests that, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Cancer Research, in the name of Joyce Lane Talley Hatch.
