Graveside services for Sarah J. Stanley, age 93, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 31, 2008 at Christ Church Cemetery with Joel Orr officiating. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Stanley, a resident of Bastrop, passed away Friday, December 26. 2008. She was retired from Kunze & Gamble and served as a bookeeper for the Council on Aging. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Stanley; son, John Stanley; daughter, Barbara Jo Stanley Orr; and brother, Robert Hurst.
She is survived by her son-in-law, Acie Orr of Bastrop, LA; four grandchildren, Terri Starks of Baton Rouge, LA, Cindy Eldridge of Bastrop, LA, Babi Pagillo of Atlanta, GA, Joel Orr of Dallas, TX; eight great grandchildren; and six great great grandchildren.
