I just heard about this today, and am so sorry to hear that Vince is gone. I knew him well once, as a long-time friend of my ex-husband, Bruce Hester. My heart goes out to family and friends... Vince was so young.

My brother, Larry, introduced me to Vince, and from that moment I felt I had made a lifelong friend. Vince had a way of making even the smallest success of others seem like the greatest thing. He loved my Mama and remembered to call her on her birthday, at Christmas, and when he just wanted to talk. In her last days she recalled many of those conversations with him. I will never forget his love for her and his love for me. I can only imagine what they are talking about now. God Bless You, Vince.

I went to high school with Vince, he was quite a character back then. We had many laughs together in Shop at school. The last time I saw him was at a Charlie Daniels concert in New Orleans. But he was still a friend, even after all these years. My condolences go out to Sue and his family. R.I.P., old buddy.
