Eula Payton Dickerson, a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church of Mer Rouge, Louisiana, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2010 at Morehouse General Hospital. She lived most of her life in Morehouse Parish. Eula loved making flowers and was employed by Golden Flower Shop in the 1950's and worked there until retirement in 1986. She was a loving and wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Funeral services for Mrs. Eula Payton Dickerson, age 90, of Mer Rouge, LA, are scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Friday, July 2, 2010 at the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Limmie Downs (nephew) officiating. Interment will follow at Red Hill Cemetery (Mer Rouge, LA). Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Golden Funeral Home. She is survived by her loving daughter, Linda Allen Gauthier (Edward) of St. Gabriel, LA; two grandchildren-the love of her life, Damien Paul Gauthier of San Diego, CA; Danna Maria' Gauthier Rollins (James) of New Orleans, LA; two loving and precious great grandchildren, Demian Peyton Gauthier and Tieler Jude Edward Rollins of New Orleans, LA; three sisters, Doris Smith of Kansas City, MO, Minnie Payton of Colliston, LA, Mollie Ann Brown of Bastrop, LA; brother, George Payton of Los Angeles, CA; Odis Wilson, who was like a son to her and numerous nieces and nephews. Eula Payton Dickerson was preceded in death by her husband Odis Dickerson; parents, Essul Payton, Sr. and Mollie Payton; sisters, Susie Payton, Mary Downs, Melvinia Barnes, Earline Payton, Queenie Allen; brothers, Joseph Payton, Charlie Payton,Essul Payton, Jr. and grandson, Edward Gauthier III. Serving as pallbearers are: Curtis Mack Allen, Thomas Downs, Edward Guthier, Alex Wayne Payton, George Payton,Charles Payton, Larry Payton, Ellis Crosby Smith, Lee Smith and Odis Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are: Jerusalem Deacons, Damien Gauthier, Osborne Payton, Chris Payton, Quenion Smith and Ernest Smith.
