Funeral services for Bertie Lee (Robinson) Kirby, age 88, are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday, August 11, 2010 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hughes Chapel Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 8:30-10 a.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Kirby, a resident of Dallas, TX, formerly of Hawkins, TX, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at The Forum Nursing Home in Dallas. She was born in Beekman, LA, and attended school in Beekman. She was a homemaker and a member of First Baptist Church in Hawkins, TX. She was a Worthy Mason with the Eastern Star and a former Boy Scout Silver Fox, one of only 3 at the time. She loved needlepoint, crocheting, sewing, and dollmaking. Mrs. Kirby and her home were featured in the Better Home & Gardens magazine.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James Filas Kirby, Jr.; son, Marty Warren; daughter, Cynthia Domino; and grandson, C.C. Domino, Jr.
Mrs. Kirby is survived by three sons, Butch Domino and wife Shiu Ling of Trinity, TX, Mike Warren of Dallas, TX, Kelcy Warren and wife Amy of Dallas, TX; three grandchildren, Lee Warren of Washington, DC, Cynthia Lynn Reeves of Sugarland, TX, Klyde Warren of Dallas, TX; two great grandchildren, Mindy Campbell and Missey Campbell, both of Sugarland, TX.
Pallbearers will be: Jordan Smith, Clay Carroll, Cliff Carroll, Gary Robinson, Alex Robinson and Rob Robinson.
