Aunt Etta ws the "glue" that held alll of us cousins together. She felt it was her duty to check on each of us every month to make sure we were OK and health. If I didn't call her within 4-6 weeks she was calling me. I am going to miss those monthly conversations with her. Guys my heart is heavy not being able to be there with you during your time of grief. I love all you dearly and you are all in our hearts & prayers. To the Mercer Family: I was so sorry to hear of Mrs. Mercer's passing. I only had the pleasure of knowing her for the last ten years or so but I had grown quite fond of her. She was such a sweet lady who loved her family. She missed your Dad so much and I enjoyed hearing stories about their years at Texas Gas. Please take comfort in your wonderful memories of her.I'm so glad she was able to stay in her home and remain independent up to the end of her life. If I can assist you with anything, please don't hesitate to call on me.

I was deeply saddened by the news about the passing of mrs. Mercer. she was a sweet lady and very out spoken and i've knew her since before mr. Mercer passed. every time i visit her she would always offer me and my daughters cookies... she was one of a kind. we will miss her dearly.......May God bless your family during this time and always.

Dorothy, Raymond,Robert and Merel I am so sorry to hear about Aunt Etta. She and your Dad were my Mothers favorite aunt and uncle. She spoke very highly of them all of my life. Fortunatly I was able to have the pleasure of getting to know her at the last Mercer family reunion. She will be greatly missed. God Bless you and keep you close.
