Funeral services for Mrs. Jimmie Howard Grobaker, 83, of Monroe, LA are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2008 at the Covenant Church (Monroe, LA) with Rev. Robert Clanton officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home (Bastrop, LA).
Mrs. Grobaker, a member of the Covenant Church and a manufactures representative of 42 years with Deaton Kennedy, passed away Monday, April 1, 2008 at her residence.
She is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Hirst Monsour of Atlanta, GA; three sons, Hulbert "Hugh" Howard of Monroe, LA, Jeff Lee Howard of Houston, TX, John David Howard and wife Teresa of Eros, LA; sister, Sandra Davis Prescott of Ft. Smith, AR; six grandchildren, Michael C. Monsour, Jonathan Monsour, David M. Monsour, April Nicole Howard, Kristan M. Howard, Cynthia Louise Howard; six great grandchildren, Justin, C. Monsour, Taylor M. Monsour, Sean M. Monsour, Macie M. Monsour, Carlie M. Monsour and Maddox R. Monsour.
Mrs. Grobaker is preceded in death by her husband, Hulbert (Hub) Howard, Sr. and parents, Lee Davis and Hattie Davis.
Serving as pallbearers will be: Nicholas Murphy, Dustin Murphy, Shelton Hill, Terrel Martin, David Monsour and Jon Monsour.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Covenant Church, 2990 Sterlington Road, Monroe, La.
