Obituary of Cleve Henry Magee

Funeral services for Mr. Cleve Henry Magee, age 71, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday, November 29, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Stuckey and Rev. Charles Ray Creel of Franklinton, LA officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held 5-9 p.m. Friday at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Magee, a resident of Sterlington, LA, passed away Tuesday, November 25, 2014. He was the owner and operator of Cleve H. Magee Contracting Company. He had formerly worked for Asplundh Tree Company, and, after retirement, did contract work for Wood Energy and Union Pacific. He had also served in the Army National Guard. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Monroe Magee and Harriet Rebecca Clark Magee from Bogalusa, LA; father and mother-in-law, Dave and Frances Jones Spencer from Bastrop, LA; infant son, Kendall Magee; two brothers, Ricky Leon and Lennie Paul Magee; six sisters, Ida Nell, Vera Lou, Iris Ruth, Rita Faye, Teary Helen, and Linda Pauline Magee all from the Franklinton, LA and Bogalusa, LA areas. Mr. Magee is survived by his wife of over 40 years, Pat Magee of Sterlington, LA; daughter, Shelley Annette Magee of Sterlington, LA; four sons, Kenneth Wayne Magee of Isabell, LA, Joseph Willard Trichell, Jr. and wife Nicki of Sterlington, LA, Michael Shane Trichell and wife Heather of Sterlington, LA, Cleve Austin Magee of Beekman, LA; sister, Judith Ann Magee and husband Will of Franklinton, LA; two brothers, Randy Devon Magee and wife Angela of West Monroe, LA, Allen Dale Toney of Pensacola, FL; twelve grandchildren, Tamra, Carly, Josh, Lauren, Caitlyn, Catherine, Cole, Tiffany, Evie, Jasclee, Emma, and Aralynn. Serving as pallbearers will be Kenneth Stephenson, Bobby Barnes, Brian Rainbolt, Ray Goodman, Charles Guess, and Josh Trichell. Honorary pallbearers are Earl Clark, Patrick Edmonds, Sr., and J.J. Creel. Mr. Magee loved to work. His greatest desire was to take care of his family. He was very family-oriented. He will be remembered as a true “man’s man”, and an avid Saints fan.
