Obituary of Jimmy R. Smith

Funeral services for Mr. Jimmy R. Smith, age 71, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Allan Eppinette officiating. Interment will follow in Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery, Monroe, LA, under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday from 1-2 p.m. Sunday at Harmony Baptist Church. Mr. Smith, a resident of Sterlington, LA, passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. During most of his life he enjoyed fishing and gardening. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jessie and Nova Smith, and a brother, Joel Smith. Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Donna Thomas Smith of Sterlington, LA; two daughters, Nicole Conville and husband Scott of Chatham, LA, Sherry Henson of Eros, LA; three sons, Greg Smith and wife "Trish" of Farmerville, LA, Shaun Johnson of White Hall, AR, Reagan Johnson of Bastrop, LA; three sisters, Charlotte Renk of Athens, TX, Nova Reed of Downsville, LA, Elaine Thomason of West Monroe, LA; brother, Dusty Smith of Pollock, LA; grandchildren, Collin Smith, Chad Henson, Brad Henson, Bubba Johnson, Ashley Halterman; Poppa's Grands, Gabriel Johnson, Jacob Johnson; and four great grandchildren. Serving as pallbearers are Jared Baugh, Duston Baugh, David Smith, Chris Smith, Jerry McDonald, Tommy Smith, and Jerry Hill.
