Obituary of Peggy Tyson

Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Tyson, age 75, are scheduled for 2 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, 2014 at the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie McElhannon and Rev. Jason Beard officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday from 5-8 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Tyson, a member of Fellowship Baptist Church, passed away Saturday, December 20, 2014. She is preceded in death by her husband, Doyle Tyson, and parents, Tony and Thelma Franklin. She is survived by her children, Jim Tyson and wife Yvonne of Sterlington, LA, Robert Tyson and wife Angie of Oak Grove, LA, Lavinda Tyson of Campti, LA, Bobby Joe Tyson and wife Cheryl of Pioneer, LA; grandchildren, Dr. Kristy Mounts, Haylee Tyson, Daniel Tyson, B.J. Tyson, Jesse Tyson, Amber Tyson, Justin Calhoun, Jessica Calhoun, Jennifer Cooper, Barry Thomas; great grandchildren, Paxton Mounts, Paisley Mounts,Carlie Mayberry, Roland Wilkerson, Brook Cooper, Dawson Cooper, Devan Henderson, Grant Tyson Calhoun, Kiersten Thomas; and sisters, Gerladine Clark and Janelle Hart. Serving as pallbearers are Daniel Tyson, B.J. Tyson, Jesse Tyson, Klint Nall, Carlie Mayberry, and Roland Wilkerson. Honorary pallbearers are Dennis Bonner, Bobby Mounts, and Donald Hart. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to: Peggy Tyson Fund at Kraftman Federal Credit Union, The Morehouse Humane Society or Parkinson Foundation.
