Funeral services for Mr. Frank A. Cooper, age 87, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, February 15, 2015 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Allan Eppinette and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 5 PM - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Cooper, a retired employee of International Paper Company with 41 years of service, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and a World War II Veteran, having served in both the United States Army and the Merchant Marines in Germany. Mr. Cooper was a fifty year member of the Mt. Gerizim Masonic Lodge Number fifty-four, a member of the York Rite, a thirty-second degree Scottish Rite Mason, and a member of the Barak Shrine.
He is survived by two sons, Bobby F. Cooper, Sr. and wife Jeanne, Tommy Cooper and wife Carmen; brothers, Johnny Cooper, Gilbert Cooper, Ray Cooper and Leland Cooper; grandchildren, Sean Cooper and wife Tabitha, Lisa Faulkenbury and husband Vince, Bobby F. Cooper II and wife Jacquelyne, Dawn Gilbreath and husband Brandon, Tamatha Gongre and husband Dustin, Tommy J. Cooper II and wife Rachell, Trevor Cooper; great grandchildren, Michael Cooper, Robin Cooper, Andrew Cooper, Christian Cooper, Riley Faulkenbury, Karlie Faulkenbury, Hallie Faulkenbury, Cole Faulkenbury, Bailey Faulkenbury, Madisan Cooper, Bobby F. Cooper III, Beaux Cooper, Jabe Gilbreath, Gracie Gilbreath, Blade Gilbreath, Glorie Gilbreath, Bowdy Gilbreath, Jaxx Gilbreath, River Gilbreath, Jaislyn Sanders, Devin Gongre.
Mr. Cooper is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ellen Cooper; sister, Cora Ruth Cooper; and brothers, Guy Allen Cooper, Erwin David Cooper, and Jessie D. Cooper.
Pallbearers will be Sean Cooper, Bobby Cooper II, Tommy Cooper II, Trevor Cooper, Brandon Gilbreath, Vince Faulkenbury, Jabe Gilbreath, Michael Cooper, and Riley Faulkenbury.
