Charles, I am Jean Durham Foster. Uncle Charles and my grandfather Claude were brothers. My husband and I met you in Bastrop several years just as you were leaving your house on Durham. I lost contact with you. I loved Wanda and Maureen very much and so many memories as a child. I am so sorry to hear of her passing. I spent many a day in that house playing on that piano, and am sure now was drivng them crazy. But they were so patient with me. I was about six. All of my family are now gone, except for me. We live in Shreveport now. Wish we could meet again sometimes. So very sorry to hear about Wanda. God bless you and your family.

Charles, you may not remember me but my husband and I met you and Wanda when you were leaving Wanda's parents home in Bastrop. That was a miracle in itsself. I am Wandas 2nd cousin. Uncle Charles and my grandfather Claude were brothers. They lived on the same street. I spent many a day in their house, as a young child. Wanda and Maureen were teens, I guess then. After my grandparents passed away, I lost contact with Aunt Jewel. about ten years ago, my husband and I happened to be going thru Bastrop and I guided my husband by pure instinct to my grandparents old place. It was boarded up, but I walked down the street to your house and knocked on the door to see if who lived there knew you. I was so surprised when you came to the door. I didnt realize you lived in Mansfield and we were living in Coushatta. Long story in between. I thought about Wanda and Maureen alot. They were so good to me . Hope we can meet again let. sympathies to you and your family.
