Obituary of Willie Jo Franklin McCready

Funeral services for Mrs. Willie Jo Franklin McCready will be held 11 A.M. Wednesday, April 29, 2015, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Hankins and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Private interment will take place in Bartholomew Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 10 A.M. until service time Wednesday. Mrs. McCready, a homemaker and resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, April 26, 2015, at the age of 83. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and known to be a very good seamstress. Mrs. McCready also enjoyed gardening and canning. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, James Ralph McCready; daughter, Cindy Hurst and husband David of Bastrop, LA; sons, Darin McCready of Dallas, TX, and Chris McCready of West Monroe, LA; brother, Jack Franklin of Fort Worth, TX; sister-in-law, Martha Franklin of Fort Worth, TX; five grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. McCready is preceded in death by her parents, Joe and Dora Franklin; brother, Bobby Franklin and sister, Ernestine Franklin Cook.
