Obituary of Sibyl H. Bubb

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Sibyl H. Bubb, age 91, will be held at 12 noon Tuesday, June 9, 2015 at Mulhearn Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ricky Baker officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Bubb, a resident of Bastrop, LA and retired after 36 years at Bastrop National Bank, passed away Friday, June 5, 2015 in Bastrop. Mrs. Bubb loved horse racing, football and especially LSU. She loved her friends at the Savannah House and was a graduate of Neville High School. Mrs. Bubb is preceded in death by her husband, Nathaniel Bubb; son, Richard Ellis; parents, Charles F. and Gladys Horton; brothers, Charles F. Horton, Jr. and Raymond Horton. Mrs. Bubb is survived by her son, Bill Baker and wife Kerry of Bastrop, LA; sister, Ruth Horton Nolan of Shreveport, LA; sister-in-laws, Doris Horton of Tyler, TX, Dempsey Horton of Shreveport, LA; daughter-in-law, Linda Ellis of Garland, TX; grandsons, Van Ellis and wife Deanna of Garland, TX, Christopher Stephenson and wife Renee of Bastrop, LA; great grandchildren, Benjamin Issac Ellis, Emily Grace Ellis, Talia Freeman, Ailani Freeman, Sidney Stephenson; dear friend and Angel, Anner Coleman; and a host of nieces and nephews. Honorary pallbearers will be Dick Revels, Boots Farrah, Charles Burns, Henry Bridges, Bobby Nugent, Paulette Greer and Earl Wayne Baker. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Louisiana Baptist Children's Home, 7200 Desiard St, Monroe, LA 71203. The family will receive friends from 9 AM until 11 AM Tuesday at Golden Funeral Home.
