Obituary of Ruth Virginia Woolsey Taylor

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruth Virginia Woolsey Taylor are scheduled for 10 A.M. Tuesday, July 28, 2015, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. David Sistrunk officiating. Interment will be held in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Monday, July 27, 2015, at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Taylor, age 80, passed away Saturday, July 25, 2015. She attended North Bastrop Church of God in Bastrop, LA. "Mama Ruth" was loved by many and loved taking care of people.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, John E. Taylor; children, Debbie Taylor Baker and husband Glen of Mer Rouge, LA, Brenda Taylor Atkins and husband Fred of Bastrop, LA, Phyllis Taylor Rhodes and husband Jerry of Bastrop, LA, and Lisa Taylor Smith and husband Jimbo of Linville, LA; siblings, Joe Gaspard and wife Sue of Greenbrier, AR, Jerry Woolsey of Bastrop, LA, and Ronny Woolsey and wife Liz of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Tim Baker and wife Michelle, Shay Baker Smith and husband Trey, Brandon Baker and wife Jenny, Kimberly Atkins Jones, Kristal Atkins Hayman and husband Neil, Jeremy Rhodes and wife Chasity, Kaci Rhodes McMillan and husband Kaleb, Kelli Rhodes Marus and husband Casey, Jr., Samantha Smith Kitchenman and husband Justin, Erik Taylor Smith and wife Casey; fourteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; two great granddaughters on the way and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mrs. Taylor is preceded in death by her parents, Albert and Sybil Woolsey; sister, Francis Woolsey Sims; brothers, Donald Woolsey and Wallace Woolsey; sister-in-law, Connie Woolsey; great grandchild, Timothy Cole Baker.
Serving as pallbearers will be Mrs. Taylor's grandsons and great grandsons.
The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at LeGrand Nursing Home.
