Obituary of Blade Briar Gilbreath

Funeral services for Blade Briar Gilbreath, age 10, are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 10, 2015, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Allan Eppinette and Bro. Todd Wooden officiating. Interment will follow in Carter Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 9, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Blade attended New Friendship Church where he was saved on July 11, 2014 and followed in baptism on August 24, 2014. Blade loved to fish and hunt with his daddy. His personality was a light to those around him. Blade is survived by his parents, Brandon and Dawn Gilbreath; grandparents, Wayne and Marilyn Gilbreath, and Bobby and Jeanne Cooper; sisters, Gracie and Glorie; brothers, Jabe, Bowdy, Jaxx and River; uncle and aunt, Sean and Tabitha Cooper and their children: Michael, Robin, Andrew and Christian; uncle and aunt, Vince and Lisa Faulkenbury and their children: Riley, Karlie, Hallie, Cole and Bailey; uncle and aunt, Bobby F. Cooper II and Jacqueline and their children: Madisan, Bobby III and Beaux; aunt, Tammie McCaa; cousins, Dustin and Tamatha Gongre and their children: Jaislyn and Devin; cousins, Rob and Casey McCaa and their child: McKinley. He is preceded in death by his great grandparents, Pearl and Darius Oser, Rosie and Ivern Gilbreath, Frank and Mary Cooper, and David and Barbara Linney; one uncle, Ashley Gilbreath. Serving as pallbearers will be Vince Faulkenbury, Riley Faulkenbury, Bobby Cooper II, Sean Cooper, Michael Cooper and Rob McCaa. Honorary pallbearers will be Christian Cooper and Andrew Cooper.
