Obituary of Thomas Leon Freeland, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas Leon "T.J." Freeland, Jr., age 45, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Monday, December 21, 2015 at Victory Tabernacle with Reverend Kevin Sanders officiating under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Pinegrove South Cemetery. Mr. Freeland was a pipe foreman for numerous companies. He passed away Friday, December 18, 2015. Mr. Freeland loved his sons and family. He was kind-hearted and would help anyone in need. Mr. Freeland loved being outdoors, hunting, fishing, camping and most of all grilling for family and friends. He is survived by his sons, Thomas Lane Alexander Freeland and Dylan Cole Freeland, both of Grayson, LA; sisters, Regina Freeland Ricks and husband Phillip, of Collinston, LA, Lisa Freeland Johnson and husband Jason of Monroe, LA; brother, Paul Eric Freeland and wife Renae of West Monroe, LA; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Mr. Freeland is preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Glory Freeland; grandparents, Earl and Gladys Freeland and George and Lucy Blood. Pallbearers will be his nephews; Shawn Freeland, Justin Freeland, Ross Carter, Ryan Carter, Jason Johnson and Hunter Johnson. Honorary pallbearers are Derek Coburn and Jeffrey Williams. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. service time at the church.
