Obituary of Ruben "Donnie" Beeson, Jr.

Funeral services for Mr. Ruben “Donnie” Beeson, Jr., 68, of Bastrop are scheduled for 3 PM Monday, December 21, 2015 in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Bonne Idee Cemetery. Mr. Beeson, a retired crane operator with Frontier Industries, passed away Friday, December 18, 2015 at his residence. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. When he wasn’t enjoying time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren he was working on his Camaro. Mr. Beeson was an LSU fan and watching John Wayne movies was one of his favorite past times. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Bobbie Beeson; daughter, Karen Welty and husband Bub of Mer Rouge; brother, Kendall “Kenny” Beeson of OK; grandchildren, Codie Welty of Mer Rouge, Anthony Welty and wife Shanna of Sterlington, LA; great grandchildren, Alexis Welty, Aaron Welty and Aibrey Welty. Mr. Beeson is preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Rayford Beeson. Pallbearers will be; Jerry Kester, Robert Amador, Tommy Mack Mayo, Bubba Putman, Roy McCowin and Darrell Church. Visitation will be held Monday, December 21, 2015 from 1 PM - 3 PM service time at Goldens.
