Hi Vivian,
Cecil and I grew up together. He and I started the 1st grade together at Monte Sano Grammar School. His older sister, Doris, started the 3rd grade at the same school that same day. She lead us around and showed us everything about this mysterious school. We thought she knew everything.
We also attended church together at the Hiawatha Street Chapel of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Cecil, Doris and I were baptized the same day along with two of our friends. We left to serve our missions about the same time. Cecil and I roomed together our freshman year at LSU.
Enough of history - Cecil and I have been lifelong friends. It breaks my heart that he has gone beyond the veil without my being able to see him one more time. Even though we were not in close contact recently, we were almost brothers.
The last time I saw Cecil was at his sister Doris' funeral. We hugged, chatted and rehashed old times. I will miss him.
May our loving Heavenly Father comfort you in this time of loss. I love all of Cecil's family and extend Carol's and my heartfelt condolences to all.
