Funeral services for Mrs. Mattie "Nannie" Sanford Rinehart are scheduled for 2:00 P.M. Friday, January 29, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Jim Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in Mer Rouge Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. The family will receive friends Thursday, January 28, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home.
Mrs. Rinehart, a resident of Crossett, AR, formerly of Mer Rouge, LA, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016, at the age of 85. She retired from the Bastrop Enterprise where she was the Society Editor. She and her husband Tilmon owned and operated the Cotton Bowl Resturant in Mer Rouge, LA. Mrs. Rinehart was also a life long member of Horseshoe Baptist Church and the Order of the Eastern Star for approximately fifty-five years.
She is survived by her daughter, Shirley Roberts and husband Derk of Crossett, AR; son, Baxter Rinehart of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Lemma Dunn and husband Calvin of Springhill, LA, Verna Adams of New Orleans, LA; brothers, Earl Sanford and wife Andrea of Bastrop, LA, Charlie Sanford and wife Judi of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Lisa Blocker and husband Roger of Monroe, LA, Dino Heintze and wife Kandice of Oxley, AR, Renee Rial and husband Kevin of Crossett, AR, Jake Roberts and wife Sophi of Hamburg, AR; thirteen great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition, special family friend and caregiver to "Nannie", Stacey Adcock.
Mrs. Rinehart is preceded in death by her husband, Tilmon C. "Phibie" Rinehart; parents, Sellie Kyle Sanford and Eunice Evans Sanford; daughter, Shiela Rinehart Joslin; grandson, Shane Rinehart; sister, Sadie Cain McNeilly; and brother, Bobby Sanford.
Serving as pallbearers will be Larry Heintze, Tyler Hursey, Jake Roberts, Mike Carpenter, Jordan Rial, James Adcock, Richard Knight, and Matt Goodwin.
Honorary pallbearers will be Baxter Rinehart and Dr. Cox.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Mattie Sanford
