Obituary of Chris Blake

Funeral services for Mr. Chris Blake are scheduled for 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 24, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Kyle Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Lone Cherry Cemetery in Mangham, LA. The family will receive friends Tuesday, February 23, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Blake, an offshore supervisor, passed away Friday, February 19, 2016, at the age of 37. He was a member of The Harley Owners Group/Bleu Bayou Chapter. Mr. Blake loved his family dearly. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and all sports. He was larger than life with a smile always on his face. Mr. Blake loved his oilfield family very much and also enjoyed riding his motorcycle. He is survived by his wife, Leslie Blake; parents, David Blake and Patsy Beach; grandparents, Tim Beach and Audrey Bates; son, Hunter Lusby; sisters, Jessica Hust and Kelsey Blake; brothers, Timothy Comans, R.W. Comans, Bobby Comans, Billy Comans, and Eaan Blake; step father, Ralph Comans; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Malcom and Becky Ramphrey; brothers-in-law, Chris and Jessie Ramphrey. Mr. Blake is preceded in death by his grandmother, Margie Beach; grandfather, Gene Blake; cousin, Cody Cason; and numerous aunts and uncles. Serving as pallbearers will be Timothy Comans, R.W. Comans, Jonathan Beach, T.J. Tate, Brandon Bulloch, and Lewin Gray.
