Graveside funeral services for Mr. Gary Wayne White, age 73, of Bastrop are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday, February 28, 2016 at Pine Grove South Cemetery with Reverend Kevin Sanders officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2016 from 5 p.m. - 7 p.m. at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. White, a retired Log Truck driver for T & A Timber Company, was born in Morehouse Parish, February 11, 1943. He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn White; children, Lisa Lang and husband Lamar, Perry Book and wife Leslie; grandchildren, Taylor Book, Marla Book and Ashton Lang, all of Bastrop, LA; sister-in-law, Myra White of Broussard, LA; niece, Hollie White Brasseaux and husband Richard of Broussard, LA; nephew, Lance White and fiancee' Pam LeBlanc of Opelousas, LA; great nieces, Karlie Brasseaux, Lanie White, Paisley White; great nephews, Drew Brasseaux, Austin White, Landon LeBlanc; numerous cousins and special friends, Trapper and Angela Holland of Hamburg, AR. Mr. White is preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Annie White; brother, Ollie Harvey White, Jr. and a granddaughter, Lauren Lang. The family wishes to thank Dr. Carter Cox, the Morehouse General Hospital staff and the staff of United Home Care. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Morehouse Parish Cancer Fund or a charity of your choice.
