Obituary of Reverend Louis H. Couch

Funeral services for Reverend Louis H. Couch are scheduled for 2 PM Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Culp and Rev. John Peters officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 7 PM Tuesday, March 1, at Golden Funeral Home. Rev. Couch, age 94, was a retired Baptist Minister and also a retiree from International Paper Co. after a career spanning 33 years.
Rev. Couch, a member of Maplewood Baptist Church, and a World War II veteran of the United States Army. He loved the Lord and loved preaching the word. He loved all people and wanted them all to know the Lord as their savior. He could enter a room and light it up. He was a great husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and he has now entered into "the joy of the Lord."
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Willie Bell "Debbie" Couch; daughters, Edna Jones, Brenda Madden, Vicky Hampton and husband Leon; son, Del Wayne Couch and wife Glenda; step daughter, Gayle Barnard and husband Ken; step son, Johnny Naff and wife Cassie; grandchildren, Amanda Pecoriao and husband Lou, Jeff Couch and wife Becky, Mike Madden and wife Jodi, Larry Don Madden, Tammy Finch and husband Toby, Tina Dickey and husband Stewart, Angela Couch and husband Craig, Lonnie Madden and Nicole Bradford, Tiona Honea and husband Kevin, Jennifer McCarver and husband Daniel, and Eric Couch; 22 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren; step grandchildren, Nicole Hotard and husband Troy, Laura Rogers and husband Ty, Scott Barnard and Wife Geny, Cody Barnard and wife Jennifer, Paeyton Linder, Ashlynn Bell Naff, John Easton Naff and a host of nieces and nephews.
Rev. Couch is preceded in death by his parents, Luther and Nettie Couch, brothers, Lloyd Couch, Elbert Couch, Cecil Couch; twin sister, Lois Couch; son, Louis E. Couch; step granddaughter, Brooke Landry; and great grandson, Justin Derek Jones.
Serving as pallbearers will be, Cody Barnard, Scott Barnard, Kevin Honea, Billy Watkins, Sonny Hudson and Toby Finch.
Honorary Pallbearers will be, Charles "Buddy" Hemphill, Royce Lord, Leon Hampton, Henry Earl Davis and Johnny Naff.
