Obituary of Thomas William "T.J." Jones

Funeral services for Mr. Thomas William "T.J." Jones, age 62, will be held at 2 PM Saturday, March 19, 2016, in the Chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bishop Curtis Doakes and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 11 AM until 2 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mr. Jones a retired Mechanic, passed away Monday, March 14, 2016. Mr. Jones was a member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Galion, LA, and Emmanuel Temple, Portland, OR. Mr. Jones dearly adored his wife and family, he dearly loved life. T.J. loved to travel and enjoyed barbecuing for family and friends, he was an excellent mechanic and no project was too difficult for him to tackle. Mr. Jones is preceded in death by his parents, Samuel Mason and Earline Jones; brothers, Henry Earl Jones, Robert Jones, and Glen Jones. Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 42 years, Marilyn Jones; one daughter, Tameka "Meya" Sanyang and husband Pa; four sisters, Debra Jones, Maple Jones, Clemesteen Jones, Sarah Russell, and husband Lenn; three brothers, James Jones and wife Alice, Bishop Curtis Doakes and wife Ann, Thaddeus Jones; and five grandchildren, Zachariya Sanyang, Luqman Sanyang, Pa Sanyang, Mam Marie Sanyang, and Amie Sanyang. Honorary pallbearers will be Bill Ladd, Prince Whitmore, Lenn Russell, Dewight Green, Damion Green, Pa Sanyang, Ricky Brown, and Samuel "C.J." Jones. The family would like to expend special thanks to Dr. Hammett and staff, Fresenius Dialysis Center, Ouachita Rehabilitation Center, and the staff of St. Francis Medical Center.
