Obituary of James Michael "Mike" Sewell

Memorial funeral services for Mr. James Michael "Mike" Sewell, age 64, of Sterlington are scheduled for 6 PM Friday, March 18, 2016, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Father Lijo Thomas and Bro. Tim Post officiating. Visitation will be held Friday from 5:30 PM until 6 PM with service immediately following. Mr. Sewell, owner and operator of Sewell Company, Inc., passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2016. Mike's life was devoted to his family. He will be remembered as a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was always willing to help anyone and prided himself on being honest, dependable, and hard-working. He is survived by his wife of thirty-six years, Alma Roberts Sewell; daughter, Mary Elizabeth Bridges and husband Bradley; son, Doctors Matthew James Sewell and wife Ainel; grandchildren, Sienna Elizabeth Sewell and soon to arrive, Ella Sewell; brother, Bruce Sewell; niece, Micheal "Shelly" Jones and husband Shannon, and numerous family and friends. Mr. Sewell is preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Frances Sewell and nephew, Allen Sewell.
