Gina,
I am so sorry to hear about your mom. It is not easy because, it has been 22 years since I lost mine. You have to take each day as it comes, sometimes it is hard and others it is not so painful. I want you to know that you are in my heart and prayer.
Friends forever, Nancy (Swopes) Lowery

To Phyllis' Family
I enjoyed the video of the family. It brought back fun memories of family reunions long, long ago. The picture of Phyllis and Daddy was really good. Phyllis always had a smile and her laugh was a delight. Daddy loved her like a sister. I'll always remember her as a beautiful woman; fun to be around, thoughtful, kind, loving, and caring. She was there for Daddy when Mother passed away and to me, for which I am grateful, throughout Daddy's final two years. I know your memories will bring you comfort and peace.

After loosing both parents, I won't say I know how each of you feel. As I don't, because it is different. When my mother died it was rather sudden, she was 55 so it hit me like a ton of bricks and I still have that emptiness. When dad died he was in bad health for around seven years and he wound up with a stroke. He was conscious for long enough for the family and friends that wanted to see him could and he was able to receive his last rite. He became responsive and for two weeks I prayed the Lord take him so he didn't have to live like that. After he passed away, had visitation, the funeral, cemetery see rice and went back to David' we were all
So empty. A few hours later Stiart, my husbad & myself were going back to the cemetery after covering the grave and Stiart said the oddest at the time WELL SO WE ARE ORPHANS NOW HOW DOES FEEL? So after you've lost both parents it's an emptiness that's difficult to handle.
I've known each of you as long as I can remember and I feel your pain & emptiness. Your mother was a wonderful person, iced her children, loved my many and gave a lot of her time to different organizations to help other people and never wanted anything in return.
She will be missed by many and each of you will probably find yourself picking up the phone to call her so many times, going to see her or planning a trip to see her.
My thoughts and prayers are with each and everyone of you during this difficult time. It is with great regret the I can't make it for any of the services but my husband has fractured ribs so he can't make that long of a trip and afraid to leave him alone.
Love to all of you

I will truly miss running into this sweet lady mostly at super one. We would stand and talk about everything. I saw her not too long ago in the parking lot at super one. We stood there visiting until I told her she needed to get out of the wind before it blew her away. Roger and I moved to Bastrop in 1973 and Mr.Grant and her were some of the first people we did business with and I am very blessed to have been friends with her all these years; a true southern lady with just a little bit of spice in her.
