Obituary of Betty McVay Kitchens Owens

Funeral services for Mrs. Betty McVay Kitchens Owens, age 72, are scheduled for 2 PM Sunday, April 17, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Don Bryan officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5 PM until 8 PM Saturday at Goldens. Mrs. Owens, a retired employee of Wal-Mart, is survived by her children, Christy Benge and husband Gary of Amarillo, TX, Leo Kitchens and wife Fran of Monroe, LA, Mindy Jackson and husband Eddie of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, James Wells of Bastrop, LA, Kristen Wells of Amarillo, TX, Katelyn Kitchens of Monroe, LA, John Kitchens of Monroe, LA, Dalton Heath of Bastrop, LA; great grandchild, Tate Michael Wells of Amarillo, TX. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo L. And Flora M. McVay; brothers, Roy E. McVay and James L. McVay. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital PO Box 50, Memphis, TN, 38101-9929.
