Obituary of Edward "Hoss" L. Gregory

Funeral services for Mr. Edward "Hoss" L. Gregory, age 71, are scheduled for 2 PM Monday, May 30, 2016 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. William Sikes officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, May 29 from 5 PM until 7 PM at the church. Mr. Gregory, a resident of Swartz, LA, and attended Loch Arbor Baptist Church, passed away Friday, May 27, 2016. He was an avid trapper, fisherman, hunter, loved to cook and most of all he loved his family. Mr. and Mrs. Gregory would have celebrated 51 years of marriage in July. He is survived by his wife Sharon Dianne Morgan Gregory; daughters, Carolyn Ann Gregory Guinn and husband Ben, Melinda Kay Gregory Colvin and husband Phillip; sisters, Charlene Hall, Virginia Townsend, Gloria Gregory, Rita Nelson, Catherine Self, Brenda Ryals and husband Doug; brothers, James Gregory and wife Linda, Louis Gregory and wife Jerri; grandchildren, Jacob Morgan Guinn, Makayla Mae Guinn, Carlton Colvin, Mercie Mays, Joseph Colvin, Brittany Colvin, Trinity Grace Colvin; numerous nieces and nephews; and mans best friend, Rusty. Mr. Gregory is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dovie Gregory; brothers, L. D., George O., Ernest, Robert, and Alfred Gregory; and his mother and father-in-law, Chester and Viola Morgan. Serving as pallbearers will be, Scott Hall, Dewayne Gregory, Dennis Matlock, Sidney Sikes, Wes Gregory, and Howard Townsend. Honorary pallbearers will be, Felix Bennett, Bruce Stewart, Jerome Sikes, "Tuss" David Spence, and Donald Billings.
