Obituary of Garry Michael Stewart

Memorial funeral service for Mr. Garry Michael Stewart, 64, are scheduled for 6:30 PM Friday, June 24, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Father Ned Head officiating. Mr. Stewart, an Accounting Supervisor at International Paper Company, passed away Monday, June 20, 2016. When he lived in Bastrop and his children were young, Mr. Stewart was a big part of the community. He is survived by the mother of his children, Linda Morris Stewart; children, Taffi Dupree of Sterlington, LA and his grandson and little buddy, Brenson Dupree, Melody Magee and husband John of Bastrop, LA; grandchildren, Madison Magee, Chandler Barnette and husband Crosby, Julianna Skeens and husband Michael; great grandchildren, Brantley Barnette and Adelyn Skeens; sister, Susan Sutliff and husband Clarence of Hadley, NY; brother, Steve Stewart and wife Marty of The Villages, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and his special ride along buddy, Fred Dog. Mr. Stewart is preceded in death by his parents, Myron and Mildred Stewart. Visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2016 from 5:30 PM - 6: 30 PM service time at Goldens.
