Mrs. Sarah Whetstone Dempsey, a former resident of Bastrop, LA, passed away Sunday, July 17, 2016, at the age of seventy-seven. There will be a visitation Wednesday, July 20, 2016, from 5 - 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Funeral services will take place at 9:30 AM, Monday, July 25, 2016, at the Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna, GA with interment following at 12 PM at the Georgia National Memorial Cemetery in Canton, GA. Visitation at Carmichael Funeral Home will be from 5 - 7 PM on Sunday, July 24.
Mrs. Dempsey is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dempsey; and her parents, W.E. Whetstone and Nancy Whetstone. She is survived by her two sons, David Dempsey and Alan Dempsey; and by one brother James Whetstone.
