Obituary of Mary DelRio Townsend Oliver

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary DelRio Townsend Oliver, age 73, of Bastrop, LA are scheduled for 10 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2016 at the Bonne Idee Assembly of God Church with Rev. Jerry Stuckey officiating.. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. Thursday at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Oliver, a homemaker and member of Bonne Idee Assembly of God, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016. She was very family oriented, loved her church family and had a strong faith in Christ. She is survived by her husband, Rev. David M. Oliver; children, Gwendolyn Townsend and husband Robert of Sterlington, LA, Olee Ray Townsend, Jr. of Bastrop, LA, Tammy Barfield and husband Joseph of Balch Springs, TX, Larry Townsend and wife Donna of West Monroe, LA, Michael Johnson of West Monroe, LA, Melody Carson and husband Richard of West Monroe, LA; sisters, Delores Brown of Fairbanks, LA, Bernice Barton of Columbia, LA; brothers, Vollie DelRio of Mineral Wells, TX, Donald DelRio of Houston, TX; twelve grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Mrs. Oliver is preceded in death by her parents, William Quin DelRio and Lillie DelRio; brothers, Melvin DelRio, Luther DelRio, Bill DelRio and sisters, Ann Todaro and Dorothy Thacker. Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers will be great grandsons and one grandson.
