Obituary of Mary Louise Arant Hodge

Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Louise Arant Hodge, age 68, accounts manager at ARC of Morehouse, are scheduled for 10 AM Thursday, August 25, 2016 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Lonadier officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Wednesday, August 24 from 5 PM until 8 PM at Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Hodge, a resident of Mer Rouge and member of Horseshoe Baptist Church passed away Monday, August 22, 2016. She was the president of the Morehouse Council on Aging and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She loved music, playing guitar and piano, and also enjoyed fishing. She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Michael W. Hodge; daughter, Amy Hodge and partner Jesse Pomerleau of Mer Rouge, LA; sisters, Phyllis Crawford and husband James of Mer Rouge, LA, and Wilma Arant and husband Dallas Manning of Swartz, LA along with numerous cousins and extended family. Mrs. Hodge is preceded in death by her parents, William Rudolph "Big Six" and Lovla Beatrice Arant.
