Graveside funeral services for Mr. Melburn A. "Buck" Gentry, age 93, are scheduled for 10 AM Wednesday, November 30, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery with Rev. Ben Hackler officiating.
Mr. Gentry, an Army veteran of World War II, served under General McArthur and received a Purple Heart in the Asiatic Pacific. He was a welder by trade and was one of many that helped construct the Superdome.
He is survived by his daughter-in-law, Debbie Gentry; grandchildren, Robin Wiggins, Ginger Hackler, Pam Moore, Zeb Gentry; great grandchildren, Josh Banks, Mallory Williams, Mallory Murphy, Savannah Hackler and three great great grandchildren.
Mr. Gentry is preceded in death by his parents; son, Robert Gentry; grandson, Robby Gentry, three brothers and one sister.
