I, too, knew him all of my life, and he NEVER seemed to age--always looked just the same. During my early twenties, I'd come into his office, sit down in the chair with my hair down to my shoulders and stupidly tease him about HIS hair before he got to work. He was none too gentle, but every time I'd complain, he'd just smile and say, "Every time you holler, you owe me a dollar". He is one of the things I miss about Louisiana.
RIP, my old friend.
