Funeral services for Mrs. Dorothy Virginia Bonnett, age 88, will be held Friday, April 14, 2017 at 10 AM at First Assembly of God with Bro. Ricky Bonnett and Bro. Dusty Walker officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Mrs. Bonnett, a retired nurse and a homemaker passed away Monday, April, 10, 2017. Mrs. Bonnett was a member of First Assembly of God. She is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Billy McKoin; sisters, Nadine David, Amelia Hales; son, Mickey Bonnett; and a granddaughter, Suprena Bonnett Lynn. Mrs. Bonnett is survived by her husband, George Bonnett; sons, Wayne Bonnett and wife Reta of Manor, TX, Russel Bonnett and wife Wanda of Monroe, LA; daughter-in-law, Irene Bonnett of Monroe, LA; brothers, Charles McKoin and wife Evelyn of Monroe, LA, Bobby McKoin and wife Louise of West Monroe, LA; grandchildren, Angela Bonnett Smith and husband Frankie, Ricky Bonnett and wife Angela, Neil Bonnett, Sharon Bonnett Vaupel and husband Tim, Amanda Bonnett Sharp and husband John, Jacquelyn Bonnett Murray and husband Michael, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandson. Serving the family as pallbearers will be John Sharp, Colby Sharp, Neil Bonnett, Monte Shockey, Ian Hatcher, Michael Hatcher and Michael Murray. Honorary pallbearers are Bobby Goodwin, Benny Brenner and Calvin "Butch" Sistrunk. The family will receive friends from 6 PM until 8 PM Thursday at Golden Funeral Home.
