Obituary of Gloria June Robinson

Funeral services for Mrs. Gloria June Robinson, age 77, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, April 14, 2017 at Loch Arbor Baptist Church with Rev. William Sikes and Rev. Andy Myrick officiating. Interment will follow in Loch Arbor Baptist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 13 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Loch Arbor Baptist Church. Mrs. Robinson, a member of Loch Arbor Baptist Church, passed away Wednesday, April 12, 2017. She was a strong and loving wife and a faithful and loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She loved her church family and her pastors with whom she served throughout the years. She loved to cook and serve others and if you ever visited her you never left hungry. She is survived by her children, Julie Bowe and husband Steve, Jill Robinson, Jeffery Guy Robinson and wife Dianne, Jay Douglas Robinson and wife Cheryl; eleven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. Mrs. Robinson is preceded in death by her husband, Guy Douglas Robinson; parents, J.W. and Goldie Lee Layton and her sister Sue Nelson. The family would like to extend a word of grateful appreciation to the loving staff at Cherry Ridge Guest Care and Premier Hospice.
