BG Bonsall has been a legend at NSU for many years. His contributions and support of NSU and specifically NSU ROTC was significant. As I grew in the Army over the years in Rank, I was reminded of the path that BG Bonsall paved for those graduates who came after him. I called on his advice and counsel many times over the years, both on Active duty and later as the Colonel of the NDR. When called to help, he always responded.
I can not that of anyone who was more a true "servant' and mentor that BG Bonsall. All of us at the NDR will miss his guidance and his hand on the wheel. God has gathered another true "Patriot" to his side.

What a wonderful life Jim lived! With your overwhelming grief, I am sure there is thanksgiving to have been a part of a family lead by Jim Bonsall!
