To my brother. God knows what we need and even though I don't understand I do trust in his plan. I was so pleased to hear you accepted Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior because now I know we will meet again. As you journey into the next life I ask only that you look down every now and again and see how we carry on with your spirit of courage and zeal for life.. Make sure it's Poppin when I get there. Tammy, my heart aches for your losses. I have many wonderful memories of Garrett growing up...the forts that the boys would dig (I don't think I ever did get those deep holes filled back up all the way), the many hours of video games they would play, and the Country Club swimming pool. Oh, and remember the time they climbed on top of your house to jump off on to the trampoline. I found a picture of one of their war days that I have uploaded.
What I remember most about Gary is the love he had for you and how much he depended on you. I hope your memories help you get through this tough time. I want you to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I was so sad to hear of Garrett passing away. Garrett was a good friend of mine during my junior high years in Bastrop. I remember Mrs. Travis taking us back & forth to drivers education. We kept in touch for a short time after I moved, but eventually lost touch. I've thought about him often over the years. My thoughts & prayers are with his loved ones. May God give you all comfort & peace.
