Funeral services for Mr. Mark Calvin McLeod, age 60 and resident of Bastrop, are scheduled for 2 PM Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at New Life Church of God with Rev. Joey Kennedy and Rev. John McGregor officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 5:30 PM until 8 PM Monday, September 11, 2017 at New Life Church of God.

Mr. McLeod passed away Saturday, September 9 at home surrounded by his family. He was a member of New Life Church of God, was a farmer and avid hunter and loved the outdoors. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Dean and Johnnie Mae McLeod.

He is survived by his wife, Debbie Kinnaird McLeod; daughter, Margo McLeod Waller and husband Jason of Mer Rouge, LA; son, Mark Calvin McLeod II and wife Katy of Mer Rouge, LA; sister, Teresa McLeod of Knoxville, TN; brother, Carlton Keith McLeod and wife Jackie of Des Moines, IA; grandchildren, Landon Waller, Luke Waller, Lawson Waller, Mary Kathryn McLeod, another grandchild on the way and his beloved pet Ellie.

Serving as pallbearers will be Lloyd Collins, Lee Kinnaird, Barrett Pepper, Allen Spires, Scotty Townsend, Jason Waller, Landon Waller, and Luke Waller.
