Obituary of Donald Ray Allred, Sr.
Funeral services for Mr. Donald Ray Allred, Sr., age 68, are scheduled for 2 PM Friday, October 6, 2017 at Golden Funeral Home with Rev. Lijo Thomas officiating. Interment will follow in Bartholomew Methodist Church Cemetery under the direction of Golden Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, October 5 from 5 PM until 7 PM at Golden Funeral Home.
Mr. Allred, a welder, passed away Tuesday, October 3, 2017, He loved his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. He enjoyed guns, making knives and playing pranks on friends and family. Out of all of his many hobbies, horses were one of his favorites.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Ann Laciura Allred; daughter, Rebecca Pauline “Paula” Allred Morton and Kenny Shanks; son, Donald Ray Allred, Jr.; sisters, Glenda Joyce Bennett, Judy Yvonne Allred; brother, David Wayne Allred; grandchildren, Anthony Grayson Morton, Anthony Riley Allred, Dylan Ray McDonald, Samantha Ann Fontenot; great granddaughter, Maddison Hope Fontenot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Mr. Allred is preceded in death by his parents, George Enoch and Pauline Lowe Allred; brother, George Robert Allred.
Serving as pallbearers will be Kenny Shanks, Grayson Morton, Chalin Willis, Lance Rogers, Chandon Cobb, and Sammy Turner.
