Obituary of Buck Lively, Jr.
Funeral services for Mr. Buck Lively, Jr., age 89, will be held at 2 PM Monday, December 18, 2017, in the chapel of Golden Funeral Home with Bro. Bob Turner officiating. Interment will follow in Pine Grove South Cemetery.
Mr. Lively, a resident of Bastrop and retired Tour Foreman for 40 years at International Paper Company, passed away Saturday, December 16, 2017. Mr. Lively was a member of Faith Baptist Church. Mr. lively was a United States Veteran and served in the Korean War. He loved to hunt and fish, he raised a good garden every year. Most of his time was spent working at the paper mill. Mr. Lively is preceded in death by his wife, Bobbie Mae Redding Lively; sisters, Annie May Stowe, Ruby Jean Ponder, Evelyn Lively, Shelia Smith; and brothers, Robert Lively, Clarence Bennett Lively, Roscoe Lively, and Donald Wayne Lively.
Mr. Lively is survived by a daughter, Linda Mayberry and husband C.L. of Bastrop, LA; a son, Ronnie Lively of Bastrop, LA; sisters, Althea Mae Bennett of Monroe, LA, Evelinea Stowe of Rayville, LA; brothers, Joe Lively of Rayville, LA, Jesse Lively of Rayville, LA; grandchildren, Missi Sliger of Sterlington, LA, Liz Purdy and husband Jamie of Rocky Branch, LA, Angel Lackey and husband Mikki of Greenville, MS, Julia Carroll and husband Kary of Eros, Winn Lively and wife Wendy of Rainbow City, AL; great grandchildren, Taylor Sliger of Monroe, LA, Cade Lackey of Greenville, MS, Sloan Lackey, Reese Lackey of Greenville, MS, Juliana Skeens and husband Mike of Sterlington, LA, Bobby Putman and wife Kassi of Dubach, LA, Mandy Putman of Rocky Branch, LA, Katie Uherek and husband Dakota of Mer Rouge, LA, Karlie Hodges of Bastrop, LA Jackie Hodges of Mer Rouge, LA, Conner Lively of Oak Ridge, Drake Lively of AL, Dakota Carroll, Zach Carroll of Eros, LA, Caleb Clingen of AR; and seven great great grandchildren.
Serving as pallbearers will be nephews; Brad Lively, Jesse Lively, Jr., Nick Gibson, Blake Lively, Shane Pittman and Joey Lively.
