Obituary of Gladys Etheridge Johnston

Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Gladys Etheridge Johnston, age 94, are scheduled for 1 PM Saturday, February 17, 2018 at Pine Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Andy Myrick officiating.

Mrs. Johnston, a resident of Bastrop, LA and a homemaker, passed away Thursday, February 15, 2018 in Bastrop, LA. Mrs. Johnston, was a member of Pinegrove Baptist Church. She loved gardening, walking, and cooking.

Mrs. Johnston is survived by a daughter, Gloria Ward and husband, Dr. Ken Ward of Baton Rouge, LA; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Mrs. Johnston is preceded in death by her husband, Newell Elmo Johnston; two daughters, Evelyn Stanley and Stella McKoin; and a son, Monroe Johnston.

The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 AM until 11:30 AM at Golden Funeral Home.
